Abstract
lnThe First Fifty Years of the Society of Public Analysrs by Dyer and Mitchell there were outlined the principal papers published by members during the flve decades of the period 1875 fo 1_925. Since then a former Government Chemistl and two former Public Analystsr,s have made their own contributions, whilst in the recent publication The Practising Chemists, Chirnside and Ham- ence have re-outlined analytical history as well as noting some ofthe advances
