COOK A Note on the Concurrent Separation of Some Drugs of Addiction in Sub-Microgramme Quantities by Thin Layer ChromatograPhY b,y A. CooK (.Public Analyst’s Depafinrcnt, TraJalgar Place, Portsntoutlt) A thin layer chromatograpllic system for the separation and identification of six drugs is given with details of three development reagents The system sepiratei dipipanone, cyclizine hydrochloride, cocaine, heroin, dextromethorphan and morphine, in admixture. In order to answer a problem of a forensic nature on an extremely limited amount of specimen, it w;s necessary to find a thin layer soh’ent system capable of separatin! any combination of dipipanone, cyclizine hydrochloride, cocaine, heroiin, dext-romlthorphan and morphine, preferably on one plate and with a greatei sensitivity thin any repotted in current toxicological and thin-layer ihlomatography literature.
