Abstract
7 A Survey of Selected Foodstuffs for Certain Pesticide Residues by G. V, Nrcuor,ls (City and Comty of Btistol, Scientific Adviser’s Depattment, Btistol) The ircidence of organo-chlorine pesticides in English and imported fruils, vegetables, fats and meats, sampled during 1968 is given, together with that of organo-phosphorus insecticides and dithiocarbamate fungicides in selected produce. During 1968, fruits, vegetables, certain fats, meat, fish and eggs were sampled and the organo-chlorine pesticide content was determined by GLC methods as in the previous surveysl,2. In addition, during the period May to September, those crops most likely to be treated with them were examined for organo-phosphorus insecticide residues by a GLC method.
