5 The Microbiological Assay of Certain Yitamins in Compounrl Feeding Stuffs by E. BARToN-WRrGHr (Galloway and Barton-llright, Haldane Place, London, S.ll.18) The microbiological assay of vitamins in animal feedingstuffs is described. Media are proposed for application to routine methods for thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, folic acid, folinic acid, the vitarnin B0 complex and for vitamin Brr. The microbiological assay of the various members of the Vitamin B- complex in such materials as compound feeding stuffs presents a special problem and requires a number of modifications in basal media, methods of extraction and general procedure.
